Management
Committee
The
Management Committee meets every two months in open meetings.
Business is dealt with briefly at the start of each meeting
which then considers and discusses issues that are current
and relevant. See meeting dates for details. All are welcome.
Working
Groups
Affordable
Housing
Established following the Rural White Paper Conference in
October 2001, the Affordable Housing Working Group has begun
to develop its work programmes. A Peak District Affordable Housing Conference was held on Sat 19 Nov 2005 - MORE DETAILS.
Farming
Recently published a report 'Hard
Times' (see publications
for details and downloadable PDF file) and currently involved
in establishing a National Farmers Network.

Local
Strategic Partnerships
i) The Derbyshire Dales and High Peak Local Strategic
Partnership
ii) Moorlands Together
New partnerships that bring together key stakeholders
in the public, private and voluntary sector to take an overview
of service delivery across the area. The LSPs are responsible
for developing and implementing the Community Strategies.
The
Peak District Rural Action Zone
A Steering Group of the Sub-regional Strategic Partnership,
Derby and Derbyshire Economic Partnership (DDEP), that relates
to economic regeneration in the area and draws down government
and other funding to the Peak District.
Peak Partners for Rural Action
A partnership of organisations working together to support
and enhance voluntary and community action in the Derbyshire
Dales and the High Peak.
Participation
in Project Steering Groups
Leader
+ in the Peaks, Dales and Moorlands
PDRDF has taken part in the Local Action Group that prepared
an application for a local Leader + programme - a European
initiative to support local community economic development
work. The PDRDF involvement is mainly to develop a targeting
methodology based on its policy development paper "Reaching
People". The programme will also develop women's and
young people's enterprise units, a range of training initiatives
under the "College of the Peak" banner, a range
of community-based art projects under the "Gateway"
banner, community-based access initiatives and support a
Tourism Forum.

Staffordshire / West Derbyshire Rural Transport Partnership
and
Hope Valley & High Peak Transport Partnership
PDRDF attends the Steering Group for these partnerships.
